Summertime..
There is something about country music that makes me ready for summer. Tonight I'm totally ready for summer and I've been listening to some of my favorite country songs too. I love the cooler summer nights. I love going to to the lake and tubing. The beach. My brother's baseball tournaments. Pretty dresses. Cute shirts and shoes. Being tan. Spending time with family. Having time to breath and really spend time with friends.

My Summer Plans
As this semester is wrapping up, I of course have an idea of what I'm doing this summer. Will it all happen as planned? Probably not. Am I okay with that? Yep. I really don't have anything to do. It's my last summer that I will have "free" ever! That is a weird feeling. Next summer I'll be in summer school for nursing and then after that I pray to God I'll be a nurse and working. So, this is my last summer as a free girl... Sadness but life goes on and I'm looking forward to the rest of my life. :)
We don't have a family vacation planned yet, I'm sure we will go somewhere but it will probably be planned around Josh's baseball, which is still being decided where, who for, and if he is playing this year. I sure hope Josh plays because I miss watching him and going to tournaments with my family. Especially the Myrtle Beach tournament. hah!
This summer I hope to work somewhere in a doctor's office or hospital as a CNA. Make a little $$$. Hopefully, I will get a job in Greenville that way I can stay here and go to VCM and Mrs. Rhonda's bible study. If not I may make weekly trips down here for them because I know I will miss both of those two things if I don't go.
It would also be nice to be down here at the apartment since I will be paying for it.
So fingers crossed I will get a job in Greenville for the summer. That would be a big blessing.
nothing
I haven't blogged much lately because I've been busy and I just don't really have anything worth blogging about. Like, I like literally don't have anything to write about. Life is good, I'm happy, I'm at what I feel like is a good place spiritually. Life is good and the living is easy!

Busy, Busy, Busy
I have been so busy it seems. There is always something I need to be doing. Always. I'm completely fine with that minus the fact that I have zero time to cook, clean, go to the gym and blog. And to be honestly blogging has taken the back burner and it will stay there until the end of the semester, unfortunately. I may get a little time to blog this weekend so we shall see...

Campus Harvest Part 2
Saturday at Campus Harvest is the full day, as I call it, you never stop going, but it's completely awesome. Last year, this was my favorite day and it lived up to it's title this year too!
We started out the day getting to the church in the morning and honestly I can't remember the exact things we did so I'm just going to hit the high points.
We had a ton of great ministers/speakers talk to us. My favorite would have to be Lynette Lewis. She has a story that is full of hope. And she wears some awesome heels! And she is a runner. Anyway...
Here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to pick out one or two of my favorite points that each person made that I feel like sums up what they were speaking about.. here we go!
Jarrett (or Jared?) Sykes
- Why can't we all play the game follow Jesus and do exactly as He wants. We can do it with everything else in out lives.
- If my relationship with Christ isn't making me lose my reputation, I haven't sold out to Jesus yet.
Lynette Lewis
- Will I be more like the Jesus or the devil when my friends are finished with me?
- When you sign up to run with God you HAVE to know people who know your name to cheer you on along the way because you can NEVER cross the finish line without friends.
Rice Brooks
- He spoke on God's purpose for our lives. One thing that he said is that God can put a gift in every life. On the inside. It's up to us to find it and use it for His good.
- You might be born "that way" (your old way and life) but you need to be born again!
Josh McDowell
- Walking into church doesn't make you a Christian anymore than walking into McDonald's make you a big mac. ~Love it!
Then we went to break out sessions. At least that's what I call them. These are sessions were everyone picks what they would like to go to and it is smaller groups of people. I went to Refering To God As A Father by Jason McDaniel and 39 Dresses by Suzanne Tipton.
They were both really good, but I got the most out of 39 Dresses. This is only because I have such a good earthly Father I have a better idea of the capacity of love Jesus has for me if it's greater than my daddy love for me. I can't fathom but I know my daddy loves me a lot! So Jesus must love me REAL good! :)
Jason McDaniel did give us 3 benefits of God's love for us that really stuck out to me...
1- we find our personal identity in God
2- we have total security in God
3- we can have confidence before God even with out imperfection and weaknesses
Suzanne Tipton talked about friendship and what you should look for a value in a friend and how to be the best friend to someone that you can be. She made 4 points:
1-prayer- it has to be part of a friendship, pray for them, pray because your friendship WILL go through hard times and we will need to know what to do in those hard times
2- faith- we have to believe that God can change our friends hearts and lives and that things will be okay in the hard times
3- grace- treat others the way you want to be treated, respect your friends, don't be so nit picky, keep communication open
4- fun- give gifts, tell them good things about them that you love, send cards
she also made a couple of other points..
- we have friends because we need an Aaron and Hur hold hold us up by the arms sometimes
- there are seasons of friendships and some aren't so pretty
- be open to the Lord about your friends
- we have to purposely cultivate our friendship gardens
- HUSBANDS!!- if you do what the Lord wants and not look to the right or left, the right man will cross our path & we have to let the Hold Spirit draw our husband, we won't be able to get rid of him but we we draw our husband, we will want to get rid of him.
After break out sessions were over we left to eat dinner and then came back for the night. Honestly I can't remember who spoke that night but Saturday night they have praise and worship, it is my absolutely favorite time out of the whole weekend! That and listening to Lynette Lewis! I know whoever spoke talked about the Holy Spirit and that we all have the Holy Spirit in us and when we allow the Holy Spirit to fill us up, Jesus will be lifted up.
I think we ended up leaving the church about 1130 Saturday night, so Sunday morning was hard to get up for but we did! And it was a short service because we have to get out of the church for their service. And I woke up not feeling great so I was ready to head home. But it was a good time and I look forward to going next year.

Campus Harvest Part 1
It's been a long while but I have a couple of good posts coming up about CH.
Last weekend was CH. We left Friday around 1 headed towards Durham. We made a pit stop by Panera first, it's was a good decision made by Christie. It was just what I needed to get the weekend started off right. We got to our hotel in Durham around 3. Relaxed, unpacked, and headed to SouthPoint to do a little shopping. I MUST go back! I didn't have enough time because we wanted to get to the church early to register. After registering, which was really organized, props to them, we went back to the hotel and chilled out for about a hour before heading back to the church for the first night. I'm sure we grabbed dinner somewhere in here but honestly I can't remember.
Friday night there were 2 speakers. Chavonne Taylor, her main point was "Do you avoid the situations that truly expose what is in our hearts?" Basically, do we play it safe to look like the best Christians we can be or are we ourselves and live our lives knowing that we need all the help we can get to be better Christians. Obviously, the best for us is the second option and we need to step out and not be afraid of what is "inside" us because we can only get better. Phil 2:13. After Chavonne Taylor, Charles Kiefer talked to us. He was made some good points too, 1- it takes faith and repentence to believe in God 2- we have to latch onto God's words, not just "believe" 3- praise (= to notice the blessings in the bad) the Lord (Eph 1:3-10) 4- Ephesians 4:17-5:2
Ohhhh, one other thing. Friday night a lot of the college groups formed a dance line. Well, ECU decided to do one and Sarah made me get in it. It took a little convincing but I DID IT! That is so not like me at all. I have to say though it was fun! Even if I don't have a lick of rhythm. :)
